Predik Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Terms version: 2026-10-13
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING PREDIK
Test network. This instance of Predik runs on Monad testnet: the USDC it uses is a test token with no value, and no operation on it moves real money.
Predik (“we” or “us”) is a prediction market platform operated by the Predik team that lets users take part in prediction markets on future events. This version of Predik runs on the Monad blockchain, with open-source smart contracts and USDC as the trading token. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Predik website, app and related services (together, the “Service”).
When you connect your wallet you must expressly accept these Terms and declare that you are at least 18 years old; that acceptance is recorded (see section 7). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
Your wallet is your own, non-custodial wallet: you control its keys, and Predik has no access to the funds you hold in it. When you commit funds to a market or buy shares, that USDC leaves your wallet and is held by PredikVault, an open-source smart contract deployed on Monad, not by an account of Predik. That contract pays, according to its code, sale proceeds, the payouts of resolved markets and the refunds of voided markets.
This does not mean the Service works without trusting Predik. Predik holds operator roles in those contracts: it approves markets, proposes each market's outcome, can pause trading or halt it on one market, and can turn on an emergency mode in PredikVault. Only Predik controls these roles. A wrongly proposed outcome or a misuse of these roles can make you lose the funds you hold in a market (sections 5 and 6). No role can, however, set a market's prices directly or pause the claiming of payouts and refunds.
Predik's contracts are open (permissionless): anyone can call them directly, without going through the app. These Terms govern your use of Predik's Service, that is, the website and the app. The restrictions Predik applies, such as accepting these Terms and the geographic block in section 3, apply to the Service and do not stop anyone from using the contracts directly; whoever does so must still comply with applicable law.
Predik sponsors the network fees (gas) of the operations you make from the app, so you do not need to hold MON, Monad's gas token. That sponsorship is a courtesy Predik may limit or stop at any time. Without it, every operation remains available by calling the contracts directly and paying gas in MON.
Predik's smart contracts have not been audited by an independent third party. Predik may limit, suspend or revoke any wallet's access to the Service.
2. Creating and Taking Part in Markets
Each market is proposed by its creator and opens only after the Predik team approves it. It first goes through a pre-market phase, in which the community commits funds to the outcomes. If it reaches its minimum liquidity and number of participants before its deadline, the market goes live and any user can buy or sell shares until the market's resolution time. Funds committed in the pre-market cannot be withdrawn: when the market goes live they become shares you can sell, and if the market does not go live in time they are refunded (section 6).
Every buy in a live market pays a fee of 1% of the amount, split between Predik (70%) and the market's creator (30%). Pre-market commitments and sales pay no fee.
3. User Eligibility and Compliance
You represent that:
- You are at least 18 years old. The Service is not directed at minors, and your acceptance of these Terms includes this declaration, which is recorded.
- You have the legal capacity and authority to use this Service.
- You do not reside in or act from a jurisdiction where the use of prediction markets is prohibited or restricted. Predik blocks access to the Service from the following jurisdictions:
- North Korea (KP)
- Iran (IR)
- Syria (SY)
- Cuba (CU)
- You will comply with all applicable laws, including sanctions regulations and anti-money-laundering policies.
- You will not use a VPN or any other method to get around geographic or jurisdictional restrictions.
Predik does not verify identity (KYC) or check age documents: eligibility rests on your declaration when you accept these Terms and on the geographic block described above.
4. No Financial or Professional Advice
Predik provides information for informational purposes only; it is not financial, legal or professional advice. Prediction markets involve financial risk. You should consult a qualified professional before making investment decisions.
5. Risks and Liability
You understand and accept that:
- Prediction markets run on smart contracts on Monad, which carry inherent risks such as technical failures, contract vulnerabilities, regulatory changes and the irreversible nature of transactions. These contracts have not been audited by an independent third party.
- Trading uses USDC, a stablecoin issued by Circle that aims to keep an approximate 1:1 parity with the US dollar. Predik does not guarantee that parity: its value may fluctuate, and it is subject to the issuer's (Circle's) specific risks, including its reserves and its regulatory status.
- Each market's outcome depends on Predik's operator (section 6), and Predik can pause commitments, buys and sales on every market or halt them on one. While a pause lasts you cannot sell your shares; claiming payouts and refunds is never paused.
- Predik is not liable for losses arising from the use of the Service, smart contract errors or the actions of third parties.
- Predik provides the Service “as is” and disclaims every express or implied warranty, limiting its liability as far as the law allows.
6. Market Resolution, Dispute Window and Voiding
Each market is resolved manually by Predik's operator: from the market's resolution time, it proposes the winning outcome in the contract based on the public evidence named in the market's description (for example, the official result published by the competition's organizer). Predik does not use any automated oracle, third-party vote or external arbitration forum to decide a market's outcome.
The proposal opens a dispute window whose length depends on the market type: 48 hours, 2 hours or 60 seconds. Nothing is paid during that window. If you have evidence that the proposed outcome is wrong, you can send it to support@predik.io; the operator can correct the proposal while the window is open, and a correction does not restart the window. The window is a public delay, not an on-chain dispute procedure. Once the window has closed, anyone can finalize the resolution in the contract.
Once the resolution is finalized, each share of the winning outcome pays exactly 1 USDC (or its proportional part of the market's pool, if fixed-point rounding left the pool short of 1 USDC per share), and shares of the other outcomes pay nothing. The rest of the market's pool goes to Predik's treasury. If nobody holds shares of the winning outcome, nobody is paid and the whole pool goes to Predik's treasury.
Void policy. A market is voided in these cases:
- If the event does not take place, cannot be verified with the published evidence, or has an ambiguous result, the operator can report in the contract that the event was cancelled. That proposal follows the same dispute window and, once finalized, voids the market.
- If the operator does not propose an outcome within 14 days after the resolution time, or a proposal is not finalized within 14 days after its window closes, anyone can void the market in the contract.
- If a market does not go live before its pre-market deadline, anyone can void it.
In a void:
- If the market was live, each share is refunded at the market's last prices, the prices of its outcomes when trading ended (at the market's resolution time, or earlier if Predik paused trading or halted it on that market). Every trade moves the prices of all the outcomes, not only the one traded: an outcome nobody traded is also refunded at its last price, which can differ from its price when the market went live. Each refund is rounded down and, if fixed-point rounding left the market's pool short of the total owed, reduced in proportion. The rest of the market's pool goes to Predik's treasury. The refund is not what your buys cost: it can be less or more than what you paid.
- If the market was still in its pre-market, every participant gets back the full amount they committed.
Payouts and refunds are not sent automatically: you claim them from the app or by calling the contract, and claiming is never paused. A void is not a correction of the outcome: it cancels the market. Movements are recorded on Monad and are irreversible once confirmed.
7. Privacy and Data
Because trading happens on a public blockchain, transactions are publicly visible but pseudonymous. Besides on-chain data, Predik processes the following personal data:
- Wallet address: to authenticate you and identify your account, your positions and your history.
- Public profile (optional): the username, bio, profile picture and X and Telegram handles you choose to add, visible to anyone visiting the Service. If you sign in with email or a social account, Dynamic processes your sign-in data to authenticate you and manage your embedded wallet; the current app does not copy your sign-in email into your Predik profile.
- Evidence that you accepted these Terms: the date and time of acceptance, the version of the Terms accepted, and the IP address and browser (user agent) it was accepted from, together with your declaration that you are over 18. They are kept solely as proof of that acceptance. Retention: after 12 months from acceptance, the IP address and browser are deleted (nulled in our database) at the next scheduled daily cleanup; the acceptance date, the version accepted and the age declaration are kept for as long as you keep your account, because they are the record of the acceptance itself.
- Analytics data (browsing and usage), processed only if you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner.
The full detail of what data we collect, why, who it is shared with and which rights you can exercise is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Predik does not yet have an incorporated legal entity. The law governing these Terms and the competent forum for any dispute will be set when the entity is incorporated, and will be published in this section as a new version of the Terms. Until then, these Terms establish no arbitration mechanism and no waiver of the procedural rights that applicable law grants you, including any mandatory consumer-protection rule of your place of residence.
Before taking any action, please write to us at support@predik.io so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
9. Changes to the Terms
Predik may change these Terms by publishing a new version on this page, identified by its effective date (currently 2026-10-13). When the version in force changes, you will be asked to accept the Terms again when you use the Service, and that new acceptance will be recorded. If you do not accept the new version, you will not be able to keep trading from the app. The USDC in your wallet remains yours, and the payouts and refunds of the markets you already take part in can be claimed directly in the contracts.
10. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms or need help, you can contact us at: support@predik.io
Notice: these Terms are binding, not informational. Your acceptance is requested and recorded when you connect your wallet, together with your declaration that you are over 18, the version accepted and the date. These Terms, in version 2026-10-13, are the document that applies to your use of the Predik app on Monad and prevail over any informational or marketing material published on other sites.
